Barnacle Cottage
Set in a peaceful rural spot within a mile or so of the coast Barnacle Cottage offers a lovely traditional cottage holiday opportunity. The cottage retains much character with open stone walls, beams but offers a high level of comfort.
The living area is open plan and incorporates two sofas and dining seating for 4/6 people. Oak flooring thoughout. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and electric oven and hob.
For evenings in, there is a large flat screen TV with Sky in the lounge, DVD/CD players, games and books. A second TV/video upstairs in the main bedroom. Linen and towels are provided. It's warm and cosy in the winter with night storage heaters with electricty included. The owner Phyllis is on hand next door and offers use of washer/dryer in separate utility room.
The beds are high quality, very comfortable with linen provided. There is also a quality sprung sofa bed downstairs in the lounge
Open stairs to upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.
The smaller bedroom overlooks to the front with far reaching views of fields and horses. It is ideal for one adult or two children. The second bed stores underneath and pulls out with folding legs.
Tranquil rear garden with private area for the sole use of cottage visitors with swing seat and BBQs. Far reaching country views and woodland surrounds. The garden is about half an acre with several tiers and seating areas.
